Dieter Hinrichs - life with photography

Hinrichs - KremlmuseumAm Tuesday, 04.17.2012 Munich-based photographer Dieter Hinrichs spoke on the occasion of his 80th Birthday at the Munich Adult Education in Gasteig about his personal journey to and with photography. The series of events ", photographers and photographers talk about their work" provides a forum for interested amateurs and professionals for photographic positions, different ways of working and professional experiences. Dieter Hinrichs (born 1932) discussed in this lecture the international trends and movements in photography in recent decades. Based on his training at the Bavarian State School of Photography in Munich and his first years in South Africa, Hinrichs tells of his journey through the entire African continent, from Cape Town to Cairo (1960/61) of his stay in Ireland, Scotland and the resin and the professional work in his own studio.

Dieter Hinrichs taught from 1981 to 1997 photographs at the National Academy of Photographic Design in Munich, the areas of documentary photography, photojournalism, free design and landscape photography and helped generations of photographer (inn) s in their search for new forms of expression and their personal photographic way. He is a member of the German Photographic Society, and lives and works as a freelance photographer based in Munich.
