Mark Lanegan, back for the new Mad Season

In late April confirmed a major bombings in recent years: Mad Season, the old line led by Layne Staley, coming back to life. And with a new album that could go on sale later this year! McCready is in the center of the hurricane in this new project, but ... what about the singer? The mysterious painting thing, at least until today. Thanks to an article uploaded to Guerrillacandy we have learned that the great Mark Lanegan who will sing in some of the themes of the compact.

Apparently Mark sing on songs that were originally composed by the late former leader of Alice In Chains. This type of joint is hardly surprising to most people as the very long ago Lanegan contributed vocals to two pieces of the first album by Mad Season ('Long Gone Day "and" I'm Above'), apart from the unique union that led him to work with Barrett Martin for nine long years in Screaming Trees.

We know the role they have in the new LP Lanegan Mad Season, now just need to know who sing the rest of the themes of this intriguing album. Who would you consider that the perfect singer to pay tribute to one of the major supergroups of the grunge era?

The stylized dance Natasha Khan in 'Laura' by Bat For Lashes

And the lights came on, illuminating the stage. Natasha Khan, with that attitude and style that make it as his own, took the stage. And with sheer style of dance, with the chorus as enganchadizo ("... Oh Laura, you're more than a superstar ...") and that touch so minimalizado instrumental, Bat For Lashes have returned to conquer us. 'Laura' is what we expected from the British project: pure glamor, without ornament or superfluous. And the video is exactly like the subject, with a feeling and a feeling that make it unique in its kind:

We could not ask for better advance for a third album - "The Haunted Man," Oct. 15 via EMI - which a priori part with a difficult mission: to overcome the sensationalism that was created in 2009/2010 with the release of "Two Suns" the spectacular second album from the London singer. At the moment, and while we commissioning vinyl disk / CD, we can announce that Bat For Lashes come in concert in November at Barcelona and Madrid.

Well apuntaros dates: Nov. 22 is the day that Natasha and her entourage will perform at the Apolo Barcelona, while 23 will be one in which Bat For Lashes will drop by Teatro Kapital of the Spanish capital . Still no information on when it will go on sale for both events. When you have the time we get to through the same entrance.

ambient, avant-garde, folk and contemporary music by Marco Lucchi

As you may know, we stayed for a short holiday in Sardinia. Now I'm back and my inbox is overflowing with unanswered emails, I take but the time you this day a very special artist to imagine one of the most diverse, creative, interesting and exciting artist (that's but a lot of superlatives!) That I 've met so far in the free-music-world: His name is Marco Lucchi, he comes from Modena (Northern Italy) and he has published in the last three decades, an incredible amount of different music: A lot of this is available free for downloading, are all really worth listening to.
It is virtually impossible, a representative album of Marco Lucchi selected because he was engaged in many very different projects and concepts and is: To be a useful short introduction to his artistic work, I recommend a visit to his Soundcloud page, there are a readable biography and lots of sound examples from the past and the present. I'm pretty sure that everyone who will come just a little too interested in ambient, avant-garde music, folk and / or contemporary music with Marco Lucchi on tons of excellent music. I have spent the last few weeks some 20 albums and Lucchi I heard / downloaded and I'm actually always surprised at how varied the material seems to me.
Instead of singling out an album, I want you to features enabled at this point some of my personal favorites, knowing that I might as well mention at least half a dozen other albums that are just as dear to me.

A collection of mostly "old recordings", the bulk of the material comes from the albums Fados (1988) and Eranos (1993). The music ranges from folk, ambient and contemporary music and occasionally not a little naive charm of the earlier progressive rock albums. All in all, a truly enchanting combination.

The Estonian composer Arvo Pärt is an important source of inspiration for some (not all!) Of the piece but Lucchi. Lucchi is obviously from the simplicity and emotional power of simple compositions Pärt's fascination. "Mater Natura" and "Alina, un altro giorno" (Alina, on another day) are adapted to two very original (and successful) attempt two of the most important works of Pärt (the Stabat Mater and the piano miniature Alina). Alina Another reference can be found on the album Poets.

The latest release Lucchi "The Spleen", released only 10 days ago on his bandcamp.com page is a wonderful example of his remarkable ability with ambient soundscapes and fragmented melodies together harmoniously.

Green Youth for green noise

Tomorrow, on Saturday from 13 clock rises at the City Hall probably on a lot of smoke. "Hemp Bayern fayern peacefully" is the motto of the day hemp, which is committed to hemp as a raw material, medicine and Stimulants.

Organized by Alliance 90/The Greens is demonstrated for an alternative drug policies, under the motto: prevention rather than repression.

In the press release:

The current criminal drug has no effect on consumption. The criminalization of people who possess cannabis for personal use only drives it on the black market. Where substances are sold that contain active ingredients or laced with unclear health supplements are risky. As a protection against contamination, the release in pharmacies, etc. occur

As early as 1994 the Federal Constitutional Court has called for the decriminalization of the consumption occasion. When it comes to alcohol, the CSU continues to drive the line "right to rush" and organized events like Party in the beer tents. Therefore, it is hypocritical when cannabis consumers continue to be criminalized and stigmatized.

Around the arena Chief, group revelation of 2010

In July 2010 I went to the drafting of Rockzone for me with the occasional collaboration in undertaking the review relevant to the September issue. I love to play catch discs do not know, and so on that occasion I took one of Domino Records which had a cover that caught my attention. The random (or not) of the LP fate would be the album had just revelation of 2010 to Binaural. "Modern Rituals" of Chief had it all, it was a beautiful album, well produced and dotted with some timeless melodies. And the best thing sounded like a sincere group with songs like "Wait For You" or "Breaking Walls" that caught a lot. Unfortunately, what started out so great with a small but intense European tour ended badly not following. The group disbanded for various personal problems in mid-June 2011. And yesterday, July 5, 2010, was when the U.S. band announced their intention to play together for the July 8 at an event at the Vintage Caveman Music, a music venue located in the city of Angels.
This announcement was accompanied by a new image on his Facebook page (which heads this same news) in which we see the current status of group members. We identified three of them but still do not know at all if the room is Mike Moonves (in a much thinner version of sight two years ago) or a new member who came to join the rest. Viewing both one and the other thing, and understanding that the group disbanded just a year ago, it is possible that the brothers Evan Koga and Fujikawa have decided to return to the fray with the group that so many evenings of glory promised us makes a point about a year old and a half.
Back to enjoy the crystalline sounds of 'In The Valley' or 'Your Direction' (the beautiful face B which led us to discover in depth the group) is the best thing that could happen at this point in 2010. Hopefully these feelings of hope are true! Chief prevail in our hearts.

'Bloodbuzz Ohio': The National Julia Stone

It was March 2010. The leaves of the trees beginning to bloom and The National, that band that we are so dazzled with "Boxer" (2007), was returning to give us the best of their smiles with an album - "High Violet" - which had precious pieces. Topics tinged epic, reaching to infinity. Courts with cavernous echoes, echoing into eternity. And also, the odd song that brought together in a 2 × 1 as mentioned, and more estilazadamente possible. This subject matter was titled 'Bloodbuzz Ohio' and with the passage of time has become one of the favorite creations of fans of the band of Matt Berninger.

Today, to pay tribute to this little masterpiece, we bring you the cover that Julia Stone has done for his new solo album "By The Horns". And I offer both in the studio version as on the small Australian acoustic recently held in Paris to 3emegauche.tv. Both are very different, while the first oozes pop sweetened by its four sides, the second is a somewhat slowed down acoustic version. We like more raw, gutted version, did you you?

A small curiosity: Thomas Bartlett, keyboardist for The National, having produced the entire disc in Julia. And yes, it has also been behind the version of 'Bloodbuzz Ohio'. Curious, no?.

Nothing going on, not fancy, and even less motivation

Well, what can I say. If nothing wrong, then nothing happening. And just as it seems, even on this blog is nothing going on. Somehow left me temporarily content. I will have ideas for wonderful contributions, but still grabs me the motivation not to the extent that I could immediately get down to writing.

Too bad, because even though I am a little listless now, I feel it to report to the charm of the lint in my head. As much as I want to give in to these stimuli, however - there is simply nothing about it. As soon as I started typing the first few lines, spilling a wave of weariness come over me.

It makes no difference whether I was just at my post about changing the music in the hardstyle genre Werkel or if I try the latest issue of INTERNET COMMERCE's to put on paper. If I was working on a novel, I had this situation as an "artistic hiatus" titled. Since I do not - at least not yet - I can not call this downturn, too. So how do we go from here now?

Maybe is someone among you who, during my low phase a heyday of lives and has something to say. I would like to give one or more of you the opportunity to publish this post. Fit it would be if this person would deal with the topics on this blog. If you are interested then get in touch with me immediately. I would be very happy if this blog gets absorbed by your contributions new breath of life.

Father John Misty, living surrealism to the interviews

J. Tillman has a good pair of balls. If Joshua had not had not agreed to give a 180 degrees to announce the release of "Fear Fun", first studio album of his new alter ego - Father John Misty - we recommend here at Binaural. FJM is all that Tillman was not before: hot, visceral, sarcastic and very, very ironic. No more mourn for the miseries, now it was screaming, smile and experience the most profound experiences psychotropic that could arise along the way.

On the day we laughed a lot with the hot acoustic Father John Misty performed for World within the past Primavera Sound. What is imagined that we would get mourn for the laughter at a funny and surreal interview conducted recently CHARTattack J. Tillman. It all begins in a seemingly very normal: a bank, the presenter, Tillman, people walking ... A relaxed atmosphere, and a couple of jokes 100% FJM. But suddenly a surprise guest and everything ends with marijuana joints, humorous comments and an interview totally out of control.

Will follow the next interviews conducted at Father John Misty in the coming months. This guy is the bomb! "If you can not eat, you can not fuck it."

Living and dying in the next stage of The Avett Brothers

In 2009 much of the world was amazed by "I and Love and You" album with which we discovered the wonderful melodic side of The Avett Brothers always endearing. After some time of inactivity the brothers of the world's most famous folk to war again with "The Carpenter", the new album that will go on sale next September 11. To get you started the Avett have put online a first single titled 'Live and Die' which serves as an appetizer in the face of what awaits us in the coming months.

You only need to hear a few seconds of the piece to realize the strong spin pop that has come under the natural DNA of South Carolina. Much of this shift is motivated by a Rick Rubin who worked with Scott, Seth and Bob "I and Love and You" and that this time has helped to decant the ensemble sound into something more infectious to that seen in "Mignonette" or "A Carolina Jubilee". Scott Avett himself has confirmed this in an interview with MainstreetUnh to clarify that this LP was going to mean for TAB "a step further towards a bigger sound and greater production."

This summer / fall The Avett Brothers will be bundled with Dave Matthews Band on an extensive U.S. tour but not the least surprise me that the band return to play in Europe soon after. Is 2012 the year that we see Avett Brothers in Barcelona and Madrid? Hopefully friends, hopefully.
