Surfer lifestyle in a twin - Xavier Rudd and Donavon Frankenreiter
Surf, sun and music. These are the similarities of the two singer-songwriter Xavier Rudd and Donavon Frankenreiter. Fans
of the laid-back sounds and the "slow down, take it easy" aesthetics of
the two artists can look forward twice, when giving the Australian
Xavier Rudd and the Californian Donavon Frankenreiter on 07/30/2012 her
co-headline show at the Circus Krone in Munich. The German acoustic-folk newcomer Jonas David will open the show as special guest.
The Australian multi-instrumentalist Xavier Rudd is a phenomenon. He playfully combines the roots of Indian music with American blues, Caribbean flair and grandeur of modern songwriting. With
six albums in eight years, earned a loyal fan base Xavier Rudd, both in
his native Australia and in the North American continent, where he was
one of the most exciting songwriters of our time. The virtuoso on guitar, didgeridoo, banjo and many other instruments issued in June, his new album "Spirit Bird".
Donavon Frankenreiter at age 10 got his first surfboard. Six
years later he had his first guitar in hand and that was the start of a
wild and creative journey: His double-obsession has taken him around
the globe and into the hearts of the fans. "Surfing keeps me alive, the music grounds me," says the charming 37-year-old songwriter. With
his latest album "Glow" the waves now seem to strike suddenly higher:
the organ gurgles in the background, funky, it grooves, the guitar is
plugged into the amplifier, which sometimes recalls Neil Young at the
good old "Harvest" days . What has remained is the relaxing of Raspelstimme convinced mustache wearer - and that's good.
