Film clip from The ArtistFrom 08 06/12/2012 to the film museum in the series "The cinema dreams" three films from the year 2011, all dealing with the history of cinema: "Hugo" (in 3D, FR 08:06 21:00 clock.) "The Artist" (SA 09.06. at 21:00 clock and DI 12.06. at 18:30 clock) and "My Week with Marilyn" (SO 10.06. at 21:00 clock). In addition, Stefan Droessler keeps on Thursday, 07.06., At 19:00 clock a lecture on the history of 3D film with many film examples.
Martin Scorsese's "Hugo" is the film pioneer Georges Méliès a monument, Michel Hazanavicius '"The Artist" is dedicated to the transition from silent to sound films and Simon Curtis' "My Week with Marilyn" chronicles the events during the filming of "The Prince and The Show Girl "by Laurence Olivier. In this era of digitization of the film material and the increased closure of many cinemas individual is striking that all three films in nostalgia train and summon the big time cinema in elaborate productions, with "Hugo" even in 3D.
That the dream of cinema to make the third dimension experience, is not new and since the beginning of film history was always present shows the lecture "History of the 3D film" Stefan Droessler. He presented examples of 3-D film from 1900 to today, including films by Georges Méliès, the latter has turned a double synchronized camera. With rare historical photographs, film clips and numerous 3D explaining the various technical systems offers an informative lecture and entertaining foray into a parallel cinematic history.
