The MTV Unplugged grunge
There was a time when MTV was a chain that was conspicuous by its content. Far from being the fallacy television is full of reality shows now, the channel offered all sorts of music programs that caused pure addiction among their young - and not so young - audience. One of the ones I liked were the MTV Unplugged show areas dedicated to the raw acoustic version of some of the hottest artists.
Many artists dare to touch on the set of MTV, but few managed to make a direct as intense as that presented Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam and Nirvana in the early 90's. The Seattle grunge found the best of their representations in proceedings in which shone with own light the voices of Layne Staley, Kurt Cobain and a genius, named Eddie Vedder, who already showed that X factor that made it unique and different.
Enjoy!
